Joining C.O.S.D.U was my way of growing closer to God but I was hesitant about going for Easter Camp at first. However, my decision to go for Easter Camp was something that I will never regret. Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all you who work hard and who carry heavy burdens and I will refresh you.”

Coming to Melbourne means being in a new world. Everyday is a challenge to not only fit but to do our best in the hopes of a great future after our studies.

Being alone in a new place can be frightening. However at the bright side, I began to trust God more. This is what I’ve learnt most in the Easter Camp.

In all honesty, the thought of going for Easter Camp for a third year running wasn’t as easy as I thought it would when I first started out in COSDU.

But you know, I remember speaking to Him and saying, “is this what You were trying to tell me for all those weeks I was struggling and whinging about going to camp?” when we reached the third and final day of camp. I never thought that my innate sense of responsibility and perseverence (not the best choice of word but my vocabulary bank is down for now) would bear THIS kind of fruit.

Easter Camp this year was a blast! It was amazing how the new COSDU members fit in seamlessly and develop strong bonds with the rest of the family. The amount of fun and joy that was shared was very heartwarming.
